This bassoon has gone to many trials and shows. MMI is the only owner of this instrument, and it is functionally a new instrument.

The Püchner Model Superior is the premier instrument in Püchner's line of professional bassoons. The modern design gives this bassoon a robust, resonant tone throughout the range of the instrument. It also boasts mother-of-pearl-style rollers that lend the instrument an air of fanciness! This particular model is the antique finish, which provides a warm, clear sound that is beautiful at any dynamic level. It has a terrific and even scale. It also features some additional keywork, such as the right hand Eb trill, and the Ab-Bb trill, double low C, a double high E, double C# trill, and an adjustment screw for the low C key.
