Vandoren VK1 Synthetic Bb Clarinet Reed

Vandoren's new VK1 synthetic Bb Clarinet reed is the culmination of 7 years of research and design. The composite material does not imitate the structure of cane, but reproduces the essential physical characteristics of the reed to obtain the same acoustic behavior. All while providing the consistency and durability of a synthetic reed.

The VK1 Synthetic reed is available 6 strengths: 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, & 60. These strengths fall between the Vandoren Traditional reed strengths 2.5-3.5, but provide additional divisions of 3rds to the typical half strengths.

The VK1 reed is food safe, hypoallergenic, and 100% recyclable.

Vandoren does recommend that the VK1 reed be stored in a case with a flat or glass surface and not one with grooves. Reeds sold individually.
