Dating from 2001 and just recently through our shop for a full restoration and service, this Rosewood Laubin is a wonderful horn! While in the shop: all pads were checked for condition and seal, replaced where necessary. Keywork was removed and cleaned and fitted when re-installed. All inserts checked for seal, octave vents cleaned, tenon corks replaced, and a full bore oil. There is a crack on the back of the top joint of this oboe that has been pinned. Crack work and pins all checked and re-finished. This oboe was played professionally in both the St Paul Chamber Orchestra and Minnesota Orchestra. It has a very beautiful, resonant singing quality with that characteristic 'Laubin' sound. Comes in original Laubin case with Cavallaro case cover.
