We processed this Donati cane with a Reeds 'n Stuff pre-gouger and gouger, and a careful attention to detail and consistency. Each piece falls in a diameter range centered on 25mm, and is selected for straightness. The 120mm length and concentric gouge ensures optimal usability for a wide range of bassoonists. The hand processed cane receives a fine sanding before reaching the store. As a result, this cane is smooth, straight, and as consistent as we can make it. This hand processed gouged Donati bassoon cane is a more artisanal option to the standard available cane from the major cane processors.
