Treasure Bassoon Reed Specs:
-
Total length: 55-56mm
- Blade length: 27-28mm
- Tube length: 28mm
-
Shape: Herzberg
- A very famous shape used by many American bassoonists.
- Geographic Location: Montana, high elevation, low humidity
Reed Characteristics:
Treasure bassoon reeds feature a warm and mellow tone, excelling particularly in the low register with intonation and articulation. They require very little embouchure support, which makes them easily playable. Their ease of playing and low register articulation make them well-suited to second bassoon playing or all-around playing at very high altitudes.
If you like these reeds, consider trying:
Delano Bassoon Reeds – These reeds also use the Herzberg shape, but made in a low elevation, low humidity environment.
RK Bassoon Reeds (Maroon) – These reeds also use the Herzberg shape and made at a high elevation, but in a high humidity environment. At 56mm, they are also similar in length to the Treasure bassoon reeds.
