Notes From the Maker

These reeds are made with a thinner parallel scrape, yielding a reed that is durable, but still free-blowing and responsive in all registers. All reeds spend a minimum of four weeks on forming pins, yielding (in the reed maker's experience) a more stable tube, and a longer-lasting reed.

What MMI Thinks About These Reeds

This reed maker provided us multiple options for cane sources and we selected the Güner cane. At least for us in Minnesota, it had a flexibility and response that can be difficult to get out of harder cane.

The CavyReeds have a good response, colorful sound, and great general construction. A lot of attention to detail has been paid to the overall quality of these reeds and the reed maker has been great to work with. Give them a try!
