The Yamaha 812 is Yamaha's thick wall model, featuring a robust sound profile and great projection. Yamaha only produces professional-level, hand-made bassoons. Their construction quality is unmatched. While these bassoons aren't incredibly common in North America, they have a very loyal following in Europe and Asia. They are copies of Heckel bassoons and have some visual hallmarks that are exact replicas of some of Heckels key work.
About This Bassoon
This 812, while an older generation model, has a very rich sound. We have done some set up to the instrument as well and it plays and feels great. This is a base model, so it does not have many extra options. But, because it is of an older generation, we're able to offer it at a reasonable price! We're very excited whenever we get a Yamaha bassoon. They are very nice instruments, especially for the price.
This instrument still comes with our 2-year warranty.
