While Guntram Wolf makes modern bassoon and innovative instruments, they're actually really well-known for their historical instruments. The construction of this instrument is impeccable and very accurate. Built in 2024, it's also in near perfect condition and show little to no signs of wear.

If a bass dulcian is the analog to the modern bassoon, this instrument would be pitched a 4th lower than that, between a bassoon and contrabassoon.

This dulcian is tuned to A=466. It comes with one bocal and a tin of reeds. It comes in a Wolf Lupobag that is usually made to carry modern bassoons. This instrument breaks down into 3 pieces plus the bocal and fits nicely in the top loading case!
