The Püchner bassoons of this era are known for their easy response and lively tone. They exhibited a range of key work configurations ranging from student to full professional, but the sound profile and bore design were consistent across all instruments.

About This Bassoon

This is a professional-level instrument, analagous to the modern Model 23. It has additional rollers, an Ab-Bb trill, and left hand Eb trill! This bassoon has a nice easy response and an extremely colorful sound, rounded out by the Heckel CC2 that matches it very well. This is another excellent example of the best instruments that Walter and Josef Püchner made in their day. If you're looking for a wonderfully easy bassoon like a pre-war Heckel but not at Heckel prices, give this instrument a try!

This instrument has received a full general maintenance in our repair shop and comes with our 1-year used instrument warranty.
