This used Polisi bassoon is quite a find! Polisi bassoons were patented by William Polisi, a former principal bassoonist of the New York Philharmonic. Polisi patented a unique configuration of bassoon and commissioned different manufacturers to make them. Some of these bassoons were made by Kohlert, and others were made by Schreiber.

This bassoon features many Polisi keywork hallmarks, such as the Eb trill, plateau C key, low C#/D# trill, low C plate, and RH thumb whisper key. Notably, this instrument retains the unique "half-hole" key that make Polisi's unique.

This is a unique instrument that would be a great option for an advanced player, looking for a great option with extra key work. The inclusion of four bocals (two 1-lengths, a 2, and a 3) offers a variety of sound options.
