This older Heckel is in wonderful condition, and features a lovely, sweet sound with that characteristic Heckel sparkle. The response is especially easy, and the intonation is exceptional for an instrument of this vintage.
After being played at the Berlin State Opera in the early years of its life, this instrument made its way overseas to Sol Schoenbach, from whom the owner's teacher purchased it before passing it to the current owner. This instrument was further played throughout several years of college before the owner decided to step away from playing. At the end of 2024, it received its most recent overhaul from Peter Grenier before MMI received it.
