This Heckel bassoon has received an overhaul in our repair shop and comes with our used instrument warranty.

This is an early 11,000 series Heckel. It has a lovely, warm tone, and a very nice flexibility of color. Its response is light and easy, perfect for the most delicate kind of playing. This bassoon would do well in any musical setting, but especially orchestral playing! High notes are very easy high note response because of the key work!

This bassoon has quite a few nonstandard key work additions: a Rh rhumb whisper key, Ab-Bb trill with clutch mechanism, a G# ring mechanism, single key mechanism for low C#/D#, and a LH whisper key built into the touchpiece itself (no.3). If you are unsure, please inquire about how any of these mechanisms work.
