The 9000 series of Heckel bassoons were built following the end of World War II and so are the first generation of "post-war" bassoons. Although not yet arriving at the thick wall design of later series, they generally have a more robust sound than pre-war instruments.
About This Bassoon
This bassoon is extremely responsive and so easy to play! Whether low or high, every note comes out with little effort. The sound is sweet but resonant enough to project. Its tenor range in particular is really fabulous. If you're looking for a Heckel to play principal bassoon, this is an instrument worth trying!
This bassoon has received an overhaul in repair shop and comes with a 1-year used instrument warranty.
