The Fox Renard 240 is a short-bore instrument patterned after the Fox 201. The light, easy response, coupled with the projection the shorter bore affords, makes the 240 the quintessential intermediate bassoon, great for advanced high school to college and even beyond. It's great for students, hobbyists, or any avid player of the bassoon.

About This Instrument

This 240 has been lovingly kept and is in overall great shape! This particular instrument does have some customizations: it has a palm guard in place of a hand rest, as well as a plateau C key for easier reach. The owner of this bassoon has small hands and so needed these accommodations. They are relatively easy to remove and replace after purchasing. Overall, this is a 240 worth trying, especially if you are worried about reach!

This bassoon comes with our 1-year used instrument warranty.
