This used Fox Model II is a piece of history that still plays with a lovely sound today! It has a warm and mellow tone and would make for a great instrument in a chamber setting. The thin-walled Heckel bocal offers a bit of additional flexibility and color to this instrument. Please note that while this bocal comes with three bocals, one of the Fox CVX2 bocals comes with a small split at the very tip of the bocal. This instrument would be a good fit for an intermediate or advanced player looking for a great sound on a budget. While this is a great bassoon, we do feel that it is most comparable to a Renard, so it would make a great option for an intermediate or advanced player.
Since this bassoon received a full general maintenance in our repair shop, it also includes a used instrument warranty.
The price of this instrument is $7,725, which includes the check price of $7,500 plus a 3% fee for credit card purchases.
