This Fox 601 is a beautifully responsive instrument! Although 601's can be known for a lack of flexibility, this bassoon does not appear to have that issue. It also has a really colorful sound, full of overtones. The bocals provided give you lots of options, and the additional key work makes it easy to navigate lots of complex passages with ease. This bassoon has been worked on a little Paul Nordby, and it is in good enough condition that it did not pass through our repair shop. Therefore, it is being sold as-is.
