The Fox 201 is the thin-wall, short bore model patterned after the 7000 series Heckels. It has an easy response in all ranges of the instrument with enough color to project in the orchestra. The 201 is one of the most popular Fox models and has served professional players well for decades.

About This Bassoon

This bassoon is basically new from the factory. The owner purchased this instrument but then found a Heckel they really liked and so had no more need for this instrument - it has been play tested by us and is ready to go. This 201 feels great and is exactly the right amount of responsiveness you'd expect from such an instrument. With the amount you're saving from buying a new one you could also match a Heckel bocal to it!

Because this instrument is like-new we have done no work to it and it is being sold as-is.
