Rieger Brass Wire

These 200g spools of wire from Rieger are a mainstay for many bassoon reedmakers. Their wire is a standard hardness and comes in 2 diameter thicknesses: .6 or .7mm. 

For those familiar with gauge, .6mm is closer to 22 gauge but slightly thinner, while .7mm is more similar to 21 gauge and noticeably thicker than 22 gauge. If you prefer to use 22 gauge, you will want to try the .6mm wire first.
