Micrometers help you make your reeds consistent and properly tapered. This micrometer comes with the 'K' tip - this is a broader tip typically used for measuring gouged cane. The other tips available are the 'F' tip and the 'S' tip, which allows for a more exact measurement on finished feeds which can be ordered separately.
