This Yamaha bassoon has only ever been owned by MMI. It is in terrific shape and has been maintained and protected in the time it has been with us.
We think this is a terrific instrument that has yet to find a good home! It has a nice scale and is very responsive. The model 811 is most similar to a 9000-series Heckel and it exhibits a really colorful sound. Paired with the right bocal, it is vibrant, warm, and projects easily.
If you've never tried a Yamaha bassoon before, this is a great opportunity to try one! These bassoons are very popular abroad and have a smaller but dedicated following in North America.
