This Open Box instrument was recently acquired by MMI but had been at the Yamaha atelier for awhile.
The Yamaha 811 is a great bassoon, patterned after earlier post-war Heckel bassoons. It has a good deal of color and volume, but still retains a large amount of flexibility and warmth in the sound. This particular instrument has a really nice sound and a very even scale! While the bassoon comes packaged with Yamaha CNS bocals, we think it would match even better with ENS, VNS or even Heckel bocals.
This instrument is also a compact cut, making it convenient and easy to travel with. The -22 configuration includes a full set of right thumb rollers, a whisper-A bridge, a right hand whisper key lock, and left thumb rollers.
This is a wonderful professional model bassoon at a very reasonable price! Be sure to take it on trial if you're looking for a great option on a budget.
