Gold-plated Heckel bocals can be made in any type. Gold is a softer metal than silver, which helps produce a warmer tone, great for chamber music.
These bocals retain the base metal of the silver-plated ones. All the acoustical differences are due to the gold! This plating is acid-resistant, and produces a warm, dark sound that is ideal for chamber music!
