Brass wire is an essential part of making reeds; it is flexible, durable, and ensures secure sealing while maintaining the structural integrity of reeds. 24 gauge brass wire is a slightly thinner wire than the 24 gauge and is sometimes preferred by bassoonists. Our 24 gauge brass wire is available in 1/4 lb (4 oz) spools.
