Backun Barrels

Backun is the newest addition to MMI's clarinet lineup. As a preferred dealer for Backun we are authorized to sell and repair Backun's full line of instruments and accessories. We work closely with the production team and Morrie Backun himself to ensure that we are up to date on product details and repair techniques. 

We are excited to work along with Backun and the product team in their robust effort to share the updated designs and development of the manufacturer's line of clarinets and accessories. 

Backun takes exotic woods that are thoughtfully selected and aged and combines them with precision manufacturing and hand finishing to craft the ultimate clarinet accessory.

Eb Cutback Barrel

The Backun Eb Barrels feature a unique cutback design that allows the use of Bb clarinet reeds on an Eb mouthpiece, without the need to trim them. Artists love how this barrel improves intonation and flexibility, while stabilizing the tone of the instrument throughout all registers.
