Reedspiration GSP Bassoon Cane

Reedspiration GSP bassoon cane presents a unique alternative to other commercially available brands of GSP.

This special brand of cane is processed from tube by a professional bassoonist. Reedspiration pays special attention to measuring diameter, density, hardness, and flexiblity of each piece of cane. The cane goes through a process of soaking and drying, resulting in solid stability. The maker also ensures that each cane is less than 8% humidity, resulting in consistent conditions across pieces.

The gouging system used results in uniform thickness along the length of each piece of cane. It is slightly eccentric. The maker uses a Rimpl shaping press machine, with the Rieger 1A shape, and guarantees consistency of shape between pieces. Additionally, the maker polishes the gouged side of the cane with sandpaper, ensuring a completely smooth finish. Reedspiration's manual hand profile features a clean collar and a slightly finished tip with a parabola from back to front. The tube length is 30mm. The blade length is 30mm.
