One of the premier oboe makers in the world, Lorée was established in 1881 in Paris, France. The brand and sound are preferred by both professionals and students alike. At MMI, we pride ourselves on working closely with Lorée to bring our customers a large variety of their latest inventory.

Lorée Cabart Oboes & English Horns
Founded in 1893, Cabart became part of Lorée in 1984. Lorée Cabart oboes and English horns are known for being reliable and durable - a top choice for students.
CABART Oboe: The Lorée Cabart oboe, “p+3”, features a full conservatory plateau system and body made of grenadilla wood. It has keywork suitable for the advancing student, with 3rd octave, forked F resonance, left hand F, low Bb resonance, and all trill keys.
CABART “Petites Mains” Oboe: Lorée’s creation of a model for ‘little hands’ is lightweight and ergonomic for smaller fingers, while still maintaining the tone color and quality that Lorée is known for.
CABART English Horn: Lorée’s student model English Horn, “x+3”, features a full conservatory plateau system and body made of grenadilla wood. It has keywork suitable for the advancing student, including a 3rd octave and left hand F.
Professional Oboes
The Lorée AK and Lorée Royal models are two of Lorée’s most popular designs and are played in professional orchestras across the world. As standard, they are made of aged grenadilla wood with silver-plated keys and a full conservatory key system.
F.Lorée c+3 Standard: The Lorée Standard is Lorée’s original and more traditional bore design. The Lorée Standard is currently a special order item only.
F.Lorée c+3 AK: The Lorée AK is one of the most popular models across the United States and features a more conical bore design in comparison to other Lorée modes. This AK bore offers a sound that many feel to be ‘focused and dark, with less of an edge’, while still providing enough projection for orchestral playing.
F.Lorée cR+3 ROYAL: The Lorée Royal is the ‘elite’ model by Lorée, initially developed in 1989. The Lorée Royal has thicker walls than other Lorée models and special attention is paid to the selection of wood. This instrument appeals to those looking for a fuller and rounder tone given by the thicker wood.
F.Lorée B+ Series: The Lorée B+ Series is developed through a partnership between Lorée and John Ferrillo, principal oboist of the Boston Symphony. This model is based on the original B serial number instruments played by John DeLancie of the Philadelphia Orchestra. The B+ Series is characterized by a rich tone and ease of playing. We stock them with a lined top joint and high D facilitator.
F.Lorée cR+3 ROYAL 125 Oboe: For Lorée’s 125th anniversary in 2006, the 125 ‘série limitée' model was created and was incredibly successful. The Royal 125 keeps the main specifications of the original anniversary model, including the gold-plated reed well & posts, high D facilitator, and 10-year aged grenadilla wood.
F.Lorée cR+3 ROYAL 125 Amethyst Oboe: The Lorée Royal 125 Amethyst keeps all the keywork & technical specifications of the Loree Royal 125. The Royal Amethyst also features fully gold-plated keys, an amethyst set in the bell, and a dark purple leather case & cover.
F.Lorée c+3 140 Oboe: The Lorée 140, designed in collaboration with Matteo Trentin, celebrates Lorée’s 140th anniversary. It offers a beautiful, dark lower register with a slightly higher left-hand range. The result is an instrument with striking response and balance.
F.Lorée cE+3 Etoile Oboe: The Lorée Etoile is a newer model from Lorée. It is designed with a different bore construction to be free blowing and less physically demanding than other models, while still possessing a rich and full tone, especially in the second octave. The Etoile has a full conservatory key system, along with an adjustable thumb rest, metal lined tenons, an adjustment screw to regulate the height of the C key, and a high D (Philly-D) facilitator.
English Horns
F.Lorée i+3 English Horn: The Lorée Standard English Horn is made of grenadilla wood and silver-plated keys with a full conservatory key system including 3rd octave and low B resonance. Includes 2 silver-plated bocals.
F.Lorée iR+3 Royal English Horn: The Lorée Royal English Horn is made of grenadilla wood and silver-plated keys with a full conservatory key system including 3rd octave and low B resonance. Specific technical features of the Royal include metal lined tenons, an adjustable thumb rest, an adjustment screw for the half-hole key, and reshaped bell. Includes 2 gold-plated bocals.
F.Lorée iR+3 Royal 125 English Horn: Like the Royal 125 Oboe, the Lorée Royal 125 English Horn features a large gold-plated bocal well and accents and is made of grenadilla wood dried for 10+ years.
