Leitzinger bocals have quickly risen to prominence for their quality, tone color, and high note performance. These bocals have a large variety of designations so, there's guaranteed to be a bocal that works with your instrument! From bore type to wall thickness, to base metal and plating, it's easier to let Leitzinger explain it:
Types
- E - has more resistance, a very warm tone and secure response in the upper registers
- N - has less blowing resistance, a powerful upper register and richness of overtones
- V - has a very open sound, low blowing resistance and a very rich lower register
- F - offers an extraordinary sound and is a special combination of different metals, the "super bocal"
Material
- M - made of thicker metal
- S - made of thinner metal
- L - offers excellent response qualities, tone color flexibility and excellent upper register
- D - special alloy based on a traditional recipe
- Z - new bore, outstanding high-range with brilliant clarity, strong midrange, well balanced low tones
Most bocals we carry are available in silver plating. F type bocals are also available in platinum plating. All bocals are available in lengths 1 or 2.
