It has been lovingly cared for and restored.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAlthough it's likely this bassoon originally did not have a high E key, one was installed after market. It plays well and is very in tune with itself. Like many Püchners of this era it is very easy to play, and the Heckel CC2 offers a more robust sound and color. The B1 plays high notes extremely well but does not perform quite as consistently in the rest of the scale.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is a great intermediate-advanced level bassoon that will help a player achieve a more colorful sound and greater facility than most student-level bassoons. It would be a great step up from a Schreiber, Renard, Moosmann, or other instrument!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAlthough this bassoon is in great condition, it has seen little playing time in the last couple of years. The bore has been oiled but will likely need a little bit of time to open back up.
