The sound profile is also of the German bassoon. If you are not familiar with French system bassoons or World System Heckels, this bassoon will have a very different feel for the left hand. The vent keys also operate in a different way.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is a wonderful sounding bassoon. We've put a lot of work into overhauling it and getting the regulations for the left hand keys just right. It has a nice scale and responds really easily, as you'd expect for a Heckel of this vintage. Although the stain is faded, the finish is overall in very good condition.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis bassoon has clearly been lovingly cared for over the years and we think it still has a lot of life left in it! This would be a great starter professional instrument for the right person.
