VO Bassoon Reeds

VO Reeds feature balanced response and tuning. Additionally, their tone easily shifts between dark and bright. These reeds work best for intermediate to advanced players, such as high school and first- to second-year college students. These reeds are play-tested by the maker and good enough for them to use.

Adjustment Tips

If low note response is delayed, scrape gently at the back section of the reed (from the collar to about 8mm past that). Always aim to keep the triangular/hill like structure of the back side of the reed when adjusting.
