This bassoon is in excellent shape! It was recently serviced outside MMI's shop. The tenons have new corks and the key work is great working order. The Yamaha 812 is a thick wall bassoon, patterned after a 10,000-series Heckel. It was a robust sound, even scale, and a smooth response that's great for all types of playing, from chamber music to large orchestra. The Yamaha bassoons are constructed with German-style keywork, which includes a double low C and a left hand whisper key lock.
