This is one of the best Mark VII alto saxophones I've ever played. Mark VII's can play a little on the brighter side but this instrument has a warmer sound overall and a very nice core sound to it. The pads are on the older side but it did go through our repair shop to level and replace a few of the pads, clean tone holes etc.
