This bassoon comes with the antique finish as well as two additional, custom key options: a high F key and an Ab-Bb trill key. This instrument has a really nice response and resistance to the sound. This allows the player to produce really great soft articulations, and still blow through it for big sound and projection. As is characteristic of Leitzinger bassoons, it has a really clear and easy high register. The scale and timbre of this instrument is consistent throughout the entire range.
Although this instrument comes with Leitzinger bocals, our bassoon specialists have found that a well-matched Heckel bocal really makes this bassoon sing. Please ask our bassoon specialists about trialing a couple Heckel bocals with this bassoon and special pricing.
