Howarth Intermediate Model Oboes and English Horns
Howarth is pleased to introduce a new range of oboes and English Horns specially
designed for the North American intermediate oboist. These high quality instruments are made
from the finest materials. Nickel silver mechanism is finished with a generous
coating of electro-plated silver. These instruments are tuned to A-440.
Oboes
| Model 45P Oboe- Body made from high density black resin. Bodies
are turned and bored in the same way as working grenadilla wood. Full
conservatory mechanism with the exception of the split ring D#-E trill.
Articulated C# key to facilitate Eb/Db and Db/Bb. Left hand F key and low Bb
vent are standard. Comes in French style case. Very similar to the Fox 330 oboes. |

| Model 55 Oboe- Lower joint and bell made from quality selected grenadilla
(Dalbergia melanoxlyon). Upper joint is made of high density resin. Metal
lined sockets and tenons metal tipped. Mechanism same as Model 45P but this
model adds the split ring D#-E trill to make it a full conservatory system.
Complete in French style case with case cover. Comparable to the Fox 450
oboe. |

Model S40C Oboe- Made from quality selected grenadilla. Features left hand F, low Bb,
and forked-F resonance keys. Similar to the Cabart oboe made by Loree.

English Horns
| S20C English Horn- This instrument is now available in all plastic
or with a plastic top joint/wooden body or as an all-wood instrument.
Simplified covered finger plate conservatory model with left hand F key.
Complete with Howarth #2 bocal, case, and accessories. |

| S40C English Horn- Available in all plastic or with a plastic top
joint/wooden body or as an all-wood instrument. Metal socket linings and tenon
tip protectors. Additional mechanism to the S20C includes Ab/Bb trill and
the banana key. Left hand F and 3rd octave keys are standard. Comes with
two Howarth bocals (#1 and #2), case, case cover, and accessories. |
