The Lyra Baroque Orchestra
Lyra is a nonprofit Baroque music ensemble based in Saint Paul, Minnesota which has been performing regionally and internationally since 1985. A recently released book written by Roger Frisch, Associate Concertmaster of the Minnesota Orchestra, is now available to answer all sorts of questions about taking orchestra auditions. This is a downloadable book called, "The Orchestra Audition: How to Prepare", and can be accessed through the website:orchestraaudition.com. This book is written to apply to ALL instruments of the orchestra: brass, winds, strings, and percussion. Included is a bonus book "Most Commonly Asked Orchestral Excerpts".
